Cost Comparisons:

Did you know that in the 2½ to 3 years your baby is in diapers you would spend over $2,500 on disposable diapers alone. That does not include the cost of wipes.

In the same 2½ to 3 years your baby is wearing cloth diapers you would spend under $400.

When you consider that babies raised wearing cloth diapers generally get potty trained within 3 years. Babies raised wearing disposable diapers can take 4 to 5 years to fully potty train. This means that if you use disposable diapers you can expect to change diapers for at least one more year. When you include the additional year's cost of diapers, $1,000 (larger diapers cost more), and the training diapers, $500 (special 'pull-up' disposable diaper/underwear), your costs for the "Convenience" of disposables is far too much. Not to mention, is it really convenient to be changing diapers for an additional year and a half?

Ask yourself:

Would you wear paper underwear when you have a choice to wear cotton?
Be honest with yourself.

The answer to that question should be "NO."

No one wants to wear something as uncomfortable as paper underwear.
If you think that it wouldn't be so bad I encourage you to line your underwear with a paper towels and walk around for the day. If by the end of the day you still haven't changed your mind then I still encourage you to reconsider for your child's sake.
